Short story, 6819 words, Fantasy Magazine It’s that time of year when speculative fiction writers collect the public-facing work they’ve done and urge you to read it (or reread it), and remind you that they are eligible for Hugos and Nebulas and all other such lovely peer validations and recognitions.
